New Book, "Deadly Glow"

Dear Radsafe Readers,

I would like to make all of you aware of a new book published by a
colleague of mine at here at the University of Illinois at Chicago. The
title is "Deadly Glow - The Radium Dial Worker Tragedy" written by Ross
Mullner. This is not a technical book, but tells the human side of the
dial painters' story and contains a lot of really nice historical
photographs and drawings. Ross spent a lot of time at Argonne and other
places around the country researching this book. I encourage all of you to
pick up a copy, this information would be hard to come by otherwise. The
book is newly published by the American Public Health Association, ISBN
0-87553-245-4, Library of Congress Number 99-073688. I don't know the
price, but it is a paperback and runs 175 pages.

My apologies to anyone who thinks this is an advertisement, that is not my
intention.

Sincerely,
Dave Derenzo
