Quoted from Investor's Business Daily 12/6/99:

"Study: electrical radiation doesn't cause cancer

The eight-year U.K. Childhood Cancer Study, published in The Lancet medical
journal, compared levels of electromagnetic fields (EMF) in the homes,
schools, and nurseries of 2,226 children with cancer and an equal number of
healthy children. EMF's are generated by the electricity that runs through
power lines--from giant cables to the small lines feeding household power
outlets. Recent studies suggested the fields might cause cancer. But even
in the 10% of homes with the highest exposure levels there was no increased
risk of childhood leukemia, brain tumors, or other cancers."
