"Nuclear Waste Really Does Have A Home"

July 27, 2001

Davis, CA

Today's edition of INVESTOR'S BUSINESS DAILY newspaper has an excellent

large article with pictures on page A6 entitled "Nuclear Waste Really Does

Have A Home". It's gratifying to see a news article that gets it right,

although they don't realize that we should be recycling nuclear fuel not

burying it. They quote from a 1982 edition of Chemical and Engineering

News: "Safe high level waste disposal is possible and has been for

years...burying these waste permanently in deep geological formations.

These formations have been stable for millions of years and are expected to

remain so for millions of years more."

I could not find an on-line copy of the article, so you may need to visit

your corner newsstand to read it.
