RE: Dirty Bomb - CNN Accuracy?

They should go home and clean up, in my opinion.

Hundreds to thousands of concerned people converging on hospitals will take

space and resources away from those injured by the actual explosion.

If you are far enough away from the explosion to not be injured by that

aspect of the incident, the concentration of radioactive material will be

low unless the initial concentration was extremely high.

In modeling nuke plant accidents, the dose due to particulates in a

fictitious plume is non-existent compared to iodine and noble gas dose, with

iodine CDE and CEDE predominating. These would not be present in a dirty

bomb, at least in sufficient quantity.
