Carol, I hope the statement of consideration is talking about DDE (1 cm

depth dose) to head...etc. and not SDE (0.007 cm depth), when it says its a

whole body dose.  BTW, "whole body dose," is it a whole body SDE or a whole

body DDE?   If, the dose was at the 1 cm depth then the LED, SDE and DDE

would all be the same value.



I am pretty sure that you can based the dose on the type and energy of the

radiation, and document it for NRC review and approval.  The guidance is a

fit-all guidance, but your dose estimate/record can be modified to the

specifics of the exposure and assigned.  NRC review and approval may be

necessary.
