	---How about you reading all the treatments I have applied to the

issue of smoking, including cross level bias, and suggest how they fall

short of being convincing. They are reviewed in Section 4 of item #7 on my

web site,  www.phyast.pitt.edu/~blc   and references are given there to

more complete treatments.

	---How about offering a specific concrete example of what might

cause the huge discrepancy between my data a nd the predictions of LNT.
