Re: Accidents at sea

A large (approx. 300K) text file listing naval accidents since 1944 can be found
at

  www.greenpeace.org/home/gopher/campaigns/military/pre1991/neptiii.txt

This apparently was an appendix in a longer Greenpeace document and the
information in the file is presented without editorial comment. Although the
title of the document is something like Naval Nuclear Accidents, in reality most
of the accidents described are non-nuclear. It makes for pretty interesting
reading. A couple of other files in the "pre1991" directory are also
potentially of interest, particularly "nep4text.txt". The list of accidents is
strictly naval/military. There is no mention of the Mont Louis or MSC Carla
accidents described in other postings.

Best regards.
