Re: Apparent anti-correlations between geographic radiation and cancer are not surprising



Most interesting map. It brings up questions which may be a little off

this topic but are questions I have had for a number of years now. On

the map if you look at Thyroid cancers from 70-94 in the Eastern

Washington area you will note that the entire area is Gray except for

Spokane County which is in the top 10% of the nation.

In a survey last year the government stated that there were no

measurable effects of radiation releases from Hanford. The study

included the counties around Hanford, which have no population. They

did not include Spokane County where much of the dairy products

produced near Hanford were consumed.

I am interested to hear from anyone who has knowledge about these

surveys or any other surveys done in the Spokane area.
