Dear Radsafers:



I wouldn't suggest drinking tincture of iodine.  It is labeled 

"poison---for external use only", and I'm not sure which alcohol is in it, 

but it may not be ethyl alcohol.  I have heard the betadine story as well, 

and would love a reference.
