Recall Lists for Instrumentation; Applicable standards

Dear all;

We are in the process of rethinking our policies on instrumentation recall for calibration. I have a specific question regarding this.

I know that there are such requirements for physical calibration of things like pressure sensors, torque wrenches, etc. I know that there are such requirements for physical calibration of things like pressure sensors, torque wrenches, etc. I am interested in the existance of any standards that require the same type of systems for radiation instrumentation.

I recognize that there are advantages to such a system in practice. However, my interest involves the existence of any STANDARDS that describe such a system, the intent of such a system, and what level of accuracy and compliance should be expected.

So;

1) Are there any ANSI or ISO standards DIRECTLY applicable to radiation instrumentation that REQUIRE one to maintain an instrument inventory and to periodically generate a recall list?

2) Are there any ANSI or ISO standards that are INDIRECTLY applicable to radiation instrumentation that require such databases and lists?

Thanks,
